Last Updated: 4 August 2026

JewelPatakha offers premium fashion and artificial jewellery inspired by Kundan, Polki, antique and Indian heritage jewellery traditions. This Product Disclaimer explains the materials, finishes, visual representations, natural variations, care requirements and limitations applicable to products sold by JewelPatakha.

Customers should read this disclaimer together with:

  • The relevant product description;
  • Return, Exchange & Refund Policy;
  • Shipping and Delivery Policy;
  • Cancellation Policy; and
  • Terms and Conditions.

This disclaimer applies to products sold through:

  • The JewelPatakha website;
  • JewelPatakha’s official Instagram account; and
  • JewelPatakha’s official WhatsApp number.

Separate terms may apply to exhibition purchases where the customer has an opportunity to inspect the jewellery before purchase.

Product Disclaimer Highlights

  • JewelPatakha products are primarily fashion and artificial jewellery, not investment jewellery.
  • Products may be made from brass, mixed-metal alloys or other base metals and may have gold-tone, antique or similar decorative finishes.
  • “Kundan,” “Polki,” “AD,” “pearl” and similar terms generally describe the design or appearance unless the product page expressly states otherwise.
  • Products are not made from real gold, diamonds or precious gemstones unless clearly disclosed in writing.
  • Hand-finished jewellery may contain minor differences that are not defects.
  • Product colours may vary slightly because of lighting, photography and screen settings.
  • Product measurements and weights are approximate unless stated as exact.
  • Plating and polish may naturally change over time depending on use, climate, storage and care.
  • No anti-tarnish, hypoallergenic or skin-safety warranty applies unless specifically stated for the individual product.
  • Digitally enhanced, modelled or AI-assisted lifestyle images may be used for styling representation, but material product details should be verified through the product description and real product visuals.
  • Nothing in this disclaimer removes rights available to customers under applicable Indian consumer law.

Indian consumers have a recognised right to be informed about relevant matters such as product quality, price and standards before purchasing. Product descriptions and representations should therefore be read carefully before an order is placed.

2. Fashion and Artificial Jewellery

Unless an individual product page or invoice expressly states otherwise, JewelPatakha products are fashion or artificial jewellery.

They are intended to provide the appearance and styling appeal of traditional Indian jewellery without being represented as:

  • Investment jewellery;
  • Fine jewellery;
  • Hallmarked gold jewellery;
  • Hallmarked silver jewellery;
  • Natural-diamond jewellery;
  • Precious-gemstone jewellery; or
  • A financial or appreciating asset.

Customers should not purchase JewelPatakha jewellery on the assumption that it contains recoverable quantities of precious metals or natural precious gemstones.

3. Base Materials

Depending upon the design and supplier, products may be manufactured using materials including:

  • Brass;
  • Copper-based alloy;
  • Mixed-metal alloy;
  • Zinc alloy;
  • Metal chains, hooks and clasps;
  • Glass;
  • Resin;
  • Fabric thread;
  • Synthetic beads;
  • Imitation pearls; and
  • Other decorative fashion-jewellery materials.

The exact composition may differ between products.

Where a particular material is important to the customer, the customer should review the product page or contact JewelPatakha before placing the order.

A general reference to “metal,” “alloy” or “brass-based jewellery” should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every component of the product is made exclusively from that material.

4. Gold-Tone and Gold-Plated Jewellery

Terms such as:

  • Gold plated;
  • Gold-tone;
  • Gold polish;
  • Antique gold;
  • Matte gold;
  • Temple gold finish;
  • Victorian gold finish; or
  • Heritage gold finish

describe the product’s decorative surface appearance.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, such terms do not mean that the product is:

  • Made from solid gold;
  • Hallmarked as gold;
  • Gold-filled;
  • Suitable as an investment; or
  • Guaranteed to retain its original finish indefinitely.

The thickness, tone and technique of plating or polish may differ between products and suppliers.

The individual product description should be treated as the primary source for the applicable finish.

5. Kundan Jewellery

JewelPatakha may describe certain products as Kundan jewellery or Kundan-style jewellery.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the term refers to the visual style, setting technique or design inspiration and may include:

  • Imitation Kundan stones;
  • Glass stones;
  • Synthetic stones;
  • Foil-backed stones;
  • Decorative coloured stones; or
  • Other fashion-jewellery components.

The use of “Kundan” does not by itself mean that a product contains:

  • Real gold;
  • Natural precious stones;
  • Traditional fine-jewellery-grade Kundan work; or
  • Precious-metal foil of a specified purity.

Any exceptional product containing precious materials will be specifically described and documented.

6. Polki and Polki-Style Jewellery

Unless expressly stated otherwise, “Polki,” “Polki-style” or similar descriptions refer to jewellery designed to resemble the traditional uncut-diamond aesthetic.

JewelPatakha’s artificial Polki-style products may use:

  • Imitation Polki stones;
  • Glass;
  • Cubic zirconia;
  • Synthetic stones;
  • Foil-backed stones; or
  • Other non-diamond materials.

Customers must not assume that a product contains natural, mined, laboratory-grown or uncut diamonds merely because the term “Polki” appears in the design name.

For greater clarity, product pages should preferably use the description:

Polki-style artificial jewellery

unless the material has been separately verified.

7. American Diamond and AD Jewellery

Where the terms “American Diamond” or “AD” are used, they generally refer to diamond-look fashion stones, commonly cubic zirconia or similar synthetic decorative stones.

They do not mean that the jewellery contains:

  • Natural diamonds;
  • Certified diamonds;
  • Laboratory-grown diamonds; or
  • Stones with an independently assessed diamond grade,

unless specifically disclosed in the product description and supported by appropriate documentation.

8. Pearls, Beads and Coloured Stones

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • “Pearl” may refer to imitation, synthetic, shell-based or decorative pearls;
  • “Ruby colour,” “emerald colour” or similar wording describes colour, not necessarily the presence of the named gemstone;
  • Coloured stones may be glass, resin, synthetic or imitation stones; and
  • Beads may differ slightly in size, shape, shade and surface texture.

A colour name is descriptive and should not be interpreted as a certification of gemstone identity.

9. Antique and Heritage Descriptions

The terms:

  • Antique;
  • Heritage;
  • Rajwadi;
  • Royal;
  • Maharani;
  • Mughal-inspired;
  • Temple-inspired;
  • Vintage;
  • Traditional; and
  • Heirloom-inspired

describe the jewellery’s aesthetic, design influence, finish or brand storytelling.

They do not mean that the product is:

  • An actual antique;
  • Historically authenticated;
  • Previously owned;
  • Made during a particular historical period;
  • Associated with a royal family; or
  • A certified cultural artefact.

“Heritage” and similar expressions generally refer to Indian design inspiration rather than historical provenance.

10. Handmade and Hand-Finished Variations

Some jewellery may be handmade, hand-assembled, hand-set or hand-finished.

As a result, minor differences may occur in:

  • Stone placement;
  • Bead arrangement;
  • Pearl alignment;
  • Surface texture;
  • Antique colouring;
  • Enamel work;
  • Backside finishing;
  • Chain length;
  • Tassels;
  • Hooks;
  • Thread work;
  • Measurement;
  • Product weight; and
  • Colour tone.

These small differences are part of the character of hand-finished jewellery and will not automatically constitute a defect.

However, a significant deviation affecting the product’s identity, usability, completeness or advertised features will be assessed under the Return, Exchange & Refund Policy.

11. Product Colour

JewelPatakha makes reasonable efforts to represent product colours accurately.

Nevertheless, the colour appearing on a customer’s device may vary because of:

  • Studio lighting;
  • Natural lighting;
  • Camera settings;
  • Image processing;
  • Screen brightness;
  • Screen calibration;
  • Device type;
  • Browser settings; and
  • Reflections from stones and polished metal.

Gold tones may appear warmer, cooler, brighter or more muted under different lighting conditions.

A minor colour difference does not automatically constitute a defect. A material difference from the confirmed colour or description will be reviewed according to applicable consumer rights and JewelPatakha’s return policy.

12. Product Photographs

Product photographs may include:

  • Studio photographs;
  • Natural-light photographs;
  • Close-up images;
  • Model-worn images;
  • Lifestyle images;
  • Flat-lay images;
  • Magnified detail images; and
  • Digitally prepared promotional images.

Close-up photography may make stones, textures and fine details appear larger than they are in ordinary viewing.

Customers should review:

  • Measurements;
  • Product weight;
  • Model-worn scale;
  • Product videos; and
  • Written specifications

rather than relying on a single image.

13. Digitally Enhanced and AI-Assisted Images

JewelPatakha may use digital editing, background replacement, model visualisation or AI-assisted imagery for creative, styling or promotional purposes.

Such images may be used to demonstrate:

  • How jewellery may look when worn;
  • Suggested styling;
  • Occasion suitability;
  • Outfit combinations;
  • Campaign themes; or
  • Brand presentation.

Digitally created or enhanced images must not be treated as a substitute for accurate product specifications.

Where practical, JewelPatakha should also provide one or more of the following:

  • Real product photographs;
  • Close-up product images;
  • Natural-light videos;
  • Actual measurement information; or
  • WhatsApp video assistance.

If there is any inconsistency between a lifestyle image and the verified product details, the real product image, written specification and confirmed order information will take priority.

14. Model-Worn Images

The appearance of jewellery on a model may vary depending upon:

  • Face shape;
  • Neck size;
  • Height;
  • Body proportions;
  • Hairstyle;
  • Outfit neckline;
  • Camera angle; and
  • Styling method.

A product may therefore appear larger or smaller on the customer than it appears on the model.

Model-worn images are intended as styling references and do not guarantee an identical appearance on every person.

15. Product Measurements

Unless expressly stated as exact, measurements including:

  • Necklace length;
  • Chain length;
  • Pendant size;
  • Earring length;
  • Earring width;
  • Bangle diameter;
  • Adjustable thread length; and
  • Product weight

are approximate.

A reasonable minor variation may occur because of:

  • Manual measurement;
  • Hand-finishing;
  • Replaceable chains or hooks;
  • Bead arrangement; and
  • Production-batch differences.

Customers requiring a precise measurement should contact JewelPatakha before ordering.

16. Product Weight

Jewellery weight may be stated:

  • Per piece;
  • Per pair;
  • For the necklace alone;
  • For the complete set; or
  • Including certain detachable components.

The applicable description should be reviewed carefully.

Minor weight differences may occur because of hand-finishing, stone setting and measurement-device variation.

Where weight is important for comfort or extended wear, customers should request confirmation before purchase.

17. Detachable and Adjustable Components

Certain jewellery may contain:

  • Detachable pendants;
  • Removable charms;
  • Adjustable threads;
  • Extension chains;
  • Replaceable hooks;
  • Screw mechanisms;
  • Push backs;
  • Clip fittings; or
  • Detachable earrings.

Customers should handle such components carefully.

The presence of an adjustable or detachable component does not guarantee compatibility with every neck size, wrist size, ear type or styling preference.

Product pages should identify adjustable features wherever reasonably possible.

18. Skin Sensitivity and Allergies

Individual reactions to metals, plating, adhesives, stones and other materials may differ.

Unless specifically confirmed in writing for an individual product, JewelPatakha does not represent or warrant that its products are:

  • Hypoallergenic;
  • Nickel-free;
  • Lead-free;
  • Cadmium-free;
  • Dermatologically tested;
  • Suitable for highly sensitive skin; or
  • Incapable of causing irritation.

Customers with known metal sensitivities, allergies or dermatological conditions should obtain appropriate professional advice and contact JewelPatakha for available material information before purchase.

Customers should discontinue wearing a product if irritation or discomfort develops.

JewelPatakha will not use medical or skin-safety claims unless those claims can be substantiated for the relevant product.

Fashion-jewellery plating and polish may gradually change, fade, darken or lose brightness over time.

19. Plating, Polish and Tarnishing

The rate of change may differ depending upon:

  • Frequency of use;
  • Moisture;
  • Humidity;
  • Perspiration;
  • Cosmetics;
  • Perfume;
  • Hairspray;
  • Cleaning products;
  • Storage conditions;
  • Friction;
  • Climate; and
  • Individual handling.

A future change in plating or finish is not automatically evidence that the product was defective when supplied.

20. No General Anti-Tarnish Warranty

Unless a specific product page or written warranty expressly states otherwise, JewelPatakha does not provide a fixed-duration anti-tarnish or colour-retention warranty.

Statements such as:

  • Premium finish;
  • High-quality polish;
  • Long-lasting appearance; or
  • Carefully finished

describe the intended product quality and do not amount to a promise that the jewellery will remain unchanged indefinitely.

Any product-specific warranty will:

  • Be stated separately;
  • Identify the covered product;
  • State the warranty period;
  • Explain the covered issue; and
  • Identify applicable exclusions.

21. Jewellery Care

To protect the jewellery’s appearance, customers should:

  1. Keep the product away from water and excessive moisture.
  2. Avoid direct contact with perfume, deodorant and hairspray.
  3. Apply makeup and cosmetics before wearing jewellery.
  4. Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming or exercising.
  5. Avoid wearing jewellery while sleeping.
  6. Wipe the jewellery gently after use with a clean, dry and soft cloth.
  7. Store each product separately.
  8. Use the supplied pouch or a dry, airtight storage box where appropriate.
  9. Avoid placing heavy objects on the jewellery.
  10. Do not bend chains, posts, hooks or stone settings.
  11. Avoid chemical or abrasive cleaning products.
  12. Keep the jewellery away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat.

Failure to follow appropriate care instructions may reduce the life of the plating, stones, threads, adhesive or other components.

22. Normal Wear and Tear

Normal wear and tear may include:

  • Gradual reduction in shine;
  • Fine surface marks;
  • Mild plating changes;
  • Thread loosening;
  • Minor clasp adjustment;
  • Natural ageing of adhesive;
  • Slight oxidation of exposed metal;
  • Movement of flexible components; and
  • Wear caused by repeated friction.

Normal wear and tear is not generally treated as a manufacturing defect.

Damage present at delivery or arising from a genuine manufacturing issue will be assessed separately.

23. Stones, Pearls and Adhesive Settings

Some stones, pearls or decorative elements may be held by:

  • Prongs;
  • Wire;
  • Thread;
  • Adhesive;
  • Foil;
  • Metal settings; or
  • A combination of these methods.

Jewellery should be handled carefully because impact, bending, moisture and heat may loosen decorative elements.

A missing or loose stone reported promptly after delivery may qualify for review. A stone lost after impact, misuse or extended wear may not qualify as a manufacturing defect.

24. Occasion and Fashion Use

Unless specifically stated otherwise, JewelPatakha jewellery is designed primarily for fashion, festive, wedding, party and occasion use.

It may not be suitable for:

  • Continuous daily wear;
  • Bathing;
  • Sleeping;
  • Sports;
  • Swimming;
  • Exercise;
  • Heavy physical activity;
  • Workplace environments involving chemicals; or
  • Long-term exposure to moisture.

Customers should select and use the product according to its materials, weight, size and intended purpose.

25. Product Comfort

JewelPatakha may describe a product as:

  • Lightweight;
  • Comfortable;
  • Easy to wear; or
  • Suitable for extended occasions.

Comfort is subjective and may vary according to:

  • The customer’s anatomy;
  • Piercing position;
  • Neck or wrist size;
  • Sensitivity;
  • Duration of use;
  • Product weight; and
  • Personal preference.

Where available, customers should review the approximate weight and dimensions before ordering.

26. Safety and Handling

Customers should:

  • Keep jewellery away from infants and young children;
  • Avoid placing jewellery or small components in the mouth;
  • Keep detachable stones, backs and beads away from children;
  • Inspect hooks, clasps and posts before wearing;
  • Avoid using a broken or sharp product; and
  • Stop using jewellery that causes injury or irritation.

JewelPatakha products are not toys.

Children should wear jewellery only under appropriate adult supervision.

27. Packaging and Display Accessories

Unless specifically included in the product description, the following items shown in product photographs are for styling or presentation only:

  • Clothing;
  • Sarees;
  • Lehengas;
  • Dupattas;
  • Flowers;
  • Decorative trays;
  • Display stands;
  • Mannequins;
  • Props;
  • Gift items;
  • Cosmetics; and
  • Other accessories.

Only the product components identified in the title, description, “what is included” section or invoice form part of the purchase.

A necklace and earrings are included together only where the product is described as a set.

28. Jewellery Boxes and Gift Packaging

JewelPatakha may provide a jewellery box, pouch or protective packaging depending on:

  • Product category;
  • Product value;
  • Availability;
  • Order size;
  • Promotion; and
  • Gifting service selected.

Packaging may differ from promotional photographs.

A specific premium box or gift package is included only where:

  • It is stated on the product page;
  • It appears in the order confirmation; or
  • The customer separately purchases the gifting option.

Outer courier packaging is intended to protect the shipment and is not necessarily part of the reusable product packaging.

29. Product Names

Product names such as:

  • Maharani;
  • Rajkumari;
  • Noor;
  • Jodha;
  • Meher;
  • Royal;
  • Palace;
  • Heritage; or
  • Bridal

are creative names used for identification and brand storytelling.

They do not imply:

  • Historical authentication;
  • Royal ownership;
  • Celebrity association;
  • Geographic origin;
  • Religious endorsement; or
  • Official cultural certification.

30. Bridal and Wedding Jewellery

The use of “bridal,” “wedding,” “wedding guest” or “festive” describes suggested occasion suitability.

It does not guarantee that the product will:

  • Match every bridal outfit;
  • Meet every cultural or family tradition;
  • Remain comfortable for every duration;
  • Arrive before an event unless expressly guaranteed; or
  • Produce a particular appearance or number of compliments.

Customers should review product dimensions, weight, colour and estimated delivery time before purchasing for an important event.

31. Product Availability and Batch Differences

The same design may be restocked from a different production batch.

Minor batch differences may occur in:

  • Gold tone;
  • Antique finish;
  • Bead shade;
  • Thread colour;
  • Hook design;
  • Backside finish; and
  • Packaging.

Where a material alteration affects the overall product design, JewelPatakha should update the product photographs or description.

Customers ordering matching items at different times should confirm current colour and batch compatibility before purchase.

32. Product Descriptions and Corrections

JewelPatakha makes reasonable efforts to ensure that product:

  • Names;
  • Prices;
  • Materials;
  • Colours;
  • Measurements;
  • Photographs;
  • Availability; and
  • Included components

are described accurately.

A genuine typographical, technical or inventory error may occasionally occur.

Where a material error is identified before dispatch, JewelPatakha may:

  • Correct the information;
  • Contact the customer;
  • Offer the customer an opportunity to continue or cancel; or
  • Cancel the affected order and issue an eligible refund.

Indian consumer law gives the Central Consumer Protection Authority powers concerning false or misleading advertisements. JewelPatakha will therefore avoid knowingly making product representations that cannot be reasonably substantiated.

33. Mandatory Product Information

Product pages, invoices, labels and packaging should display applicable product and seller information required under Indian law.

Depending upon the product and packaging arrangement, this may include applicable information concerning:

  • Product identity;
  • Maximum retail price;
  • Manufacturer, packer or importer;
  • Country of origin;
  • Customer-care details;
  • Quantity or number of pieces; and
  • Other required declarations.

The Legal Metrology framework contains requirements applying to pre-packaged commodities and ecommerce disclosures, and JewelPatakha should ensure that its supplier labels and website information are consistent with the applicable requirements.

Where information supplied by a manufacturer, wholesaler or packer changes, JewelPatakha may update the product page or packaging accordingly.

34. Manufacturer and Supplier Information

JewelPatakha purchases and curates jewellery from manufacturers and wholesalers.

JewelPatakha may not manufacture every product itself.

Where applicable, manufacturer, packer, importer or country-of-origin details will appear on:

  • Product packaging;
  • Label;
  • Invoice;
  • Product page; or
  • Another legally appropriate disclosure.

A product sold under the JewelPatakha brand does not necessarily mean that every component was physically manufactured by JewelPatakha.

35. Product Certification

Unless expressly stated and supported by documentation, JewelPatakha products are not sold with:

  • Gold purity certification;
  • Silver purity certification;
  • Diamond grading;
  • Gemstone certification;
  • Hallmarking;
  • Antique authentication;
  • Heritage authentication; or
  • Independent laboratory testing.

Customers should not infer certification from product appearance, price or creative terminology.

36. Repairs and Alterations

Customers should not:

  • Bend the jewellery;
  • Replace stones without authorisation;
  • Apply glue;
  • Solder components;
  • Replate the product;
  • Change hooks or clasps; or
  • Obtain third-party repairs

before JewelPatakha has reviewed a reported defect.

Unauthorised alteration may make it difficult to determine the original condition of the product and may affect return, exchange or warranty eligibility.

Any optional repair assistance offered by JewelPatakha will depend upon:

  • Product construction;
  • Availability of components;
  • Nature of the damage;
  • Time since purchase; and
  • Associated charges.

Repair services are not guaranteed unless expressly promised in writing.

37. What May Constitute a Product Defect

A product may qualify for review as defective where, for example:

  • It is broken at delivery;
  • A clasp does not function;
  • A major stone is missing on arrival;
  • The wrong product was supplied;
  • A material component is missing;
  • The product cannot reasonably be worn for its stated purpose; or
  • It is materially inconsistent with its confirmed description.

Minor handmade differences, personal dislike, outfit mismatch or ordinary colour variation do not automatically constitute a defect.

The final decision will be based on available evidence, product inspection and applicable law.

38. Returns and Refunds

This Product Disclaimer does not replace the Return, Exchange & Refund Policy.

Where a customer receives goods that are defective, deficient, spurious or materially different from their advertised features, the claim will be assessed in accordance with JewelPatakha’s return policy and applicable consumer law. The Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules address seller obligations in such circumstances.

Customers should report:

  • Visible damage;
  • Incorrect products;
  • Missing components; or
  • Tampered parcels

within the reporting period stated in the Return, Exchange & Refund Policy.

39. Limitation of This Disclaimer

Nothing in this Product Disclaimer is intended to:

  • Exclude liability for fraud;
  • Permit misleading advertising;
  • Exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded;
  • Remove remedies for defective or materially misdescribed goods;
  • Restrict the customer’s right to seek redressal; or
  • Override mandatory Indian consumer law.

Consumer commissions may grant remedies in cases involving defective goods, unfair trade practices or product liability where the statutory requirements are established.

40. Customer Responsibility Before Purchase

Before placing an order, customers should:

  1. Read the complete product description.
  2. Review all available photographs and videos.
  3. Check measurements and approximate weight.
  4. Verify the included product components.

  6. Review the care instructions.
  7. Confirm colour suitability.
  8. Consider any known metal sensitivity.
  9. Review delivery timelines for event purchases.
  10. Contact JewelPatakha where clarification is needed.

43. Changes to This Disclaimer

JewelPatakha may update this Product Disclaimer to reflect:

  • New product categories;
  • Changes in materials;
  • Updated photography practices;
  • New packaging arrangements;
  • Supplier changes;
  • Changes in customer-care procedures; or
  • Changes in applicable law.
