Purchases made at exhibitions or other physical sales locations may be governed by separate terms communicated at the time of purchase.

2. Shipping Territory

JewelPatakha currently accepts orders for delivery to serviceable postal addresses within India.

We do not currently offer international shipping under this policy.

Delivery availability depends upon:

  • The customer’s PIN code;
  • Courier-partner coverage;
  • Product restrictions, if any;
  • COD availability at the destination;
  • Local transport conditions; and
  • Other operational or regulatory limitations.

An order may be cancelled and refunded where no suitable delivery service is available for the customer’s location.

3. Dispatch Location

Orders are normally processed and dispatched from:

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India

JewelPatakha may use another fulfilment location where reasonably necessary, without affecting the customer’s applicable rights.

4. Order Processing Time

In-stock products are ordinarily processed within 2–3 business days after:

  • Successful payment for a prepaid order; or
  • Successful verification of a COD order.

Business days exclude:

  • Sundays;
  • Public holidays;
  • Government-declared closures; and
  • Days on which courier services are unavailable.

Processing includes:

  1. Payment or COD verification;
  2. Product availability confirmation;
  3. Product quality inspection;
  4. Order documentation;
  5. Secure jewellery packaging; and
  6. Handover to the courier partner.

Processing time is separate from delivery time.

5. Extended Processing Periods

Processing may take longer for:

  • Pre-order products;
  • Made-to-order jewellery;
  • Customised or altered products;
  • Specially sourced products;
  • Bridal or bulk orders;
  • Products awaiting restocking;
  • Orders placed during festivals, major sales or peak wedding seasons; and
  • Orders requiring additional customer verification.

The applicable processing estimate should be displayed on the product page or communicated before order confirmation.

Where a material delay becomes known, JewelPatakha will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer.

6. Estimated Delivery Time

After dispatch, the estimated delivery periods are:

DestinationEstimated delivery after dispatch
Ahmedabad and major Gujarat cities2–5 business days
Major metro cities3–7 business days
Other serviceable Indian locations5–10 business days
Remote or limited-service areas7–12 business days

These periods are estimates and may vary depending upon the courier, destination, weather, local restrictions and operational conditions.

The complete estimated order timeline is:

Processing time + delivery time

For example, an in-stock order requiring three business days for processing and five business days for delivery may reach the customer in approximately eight business days.

7. Delivery Estimates Are Not Event Guarantees

Customers purchasing jewellery for weddings, festivals, parties, gifting occasions or travel should place orders sufficiently in advance.

A delivery estimate does not constitute a guarantee that the order will arrive before:

  • A wedding;
  • A festival;
  • A birthday;
  • An engagement;
  • A family function;
  • A photoshoot;
  • A journey; or
  • Any other specific event.

JewelPatakha will not be responsible for losses arising solely because a customer placed an order too close to an event date, provided the order was processed and delivered within the stated or lawfully extended schedule.

Where JewelPatakha expressly provides a written guaranteed delivery commitment for a particular order, that written commitment will apply.

8. Standard Shipping Charges

The recommended JewelPatakha shipping structure is:

Order valueStandard shipping
Below ₹2,499₹99
₹2,499 and aboveFree

The order value for free-shipping eligibility is calculated after:

  • Discounts;
  • Coupons;
  • Store-credit adjustments; and
  • Any product returns or cancellations.

COD handling charges are separate from standard shipping charges.

JewelPatakha may offer temporary free-shipping promotions. The applicable charge will be displayed or communicated before the customer confirms the order.

9. Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery is offered as a convenience and is subject to eligibility.

COD conditions

  • COD handling fee: ₹99 per order
  • Maximum COD order value: ₹7,500
  • Orders above ₹7,500: Prepaid only
  • COD availability: Subject to PIN-code and courier serviceability
  • COD orders: Subject to telephone, OTP or WhatsApp verification

COD may be unavailable for:

  • Customised products;
  • Altered products;
  • Made-to-order products;
  • Pre-order products;
  • Specially sourced products;
  • Bulk or reseller orders;
  • Certain remote PIN codes;
  • Customers with repeated refused or undelivered COD orders; or
  • Orders showing indicators of fraud or misuse.

A COD order is not considered finally accepted until JewelPatakha completes its verification and order-confirmation process.

10. COD Order Verification

JewelPatakha may contact the customer through telephone, WhatsApp, SMS or email to verify:

  • The customer’s name;
  • Product selection;
  • Order value;
  • Delivery address;
  • PIN code;
  • Contact number; and
  • Intention to accept and pay for the order.

If the customer does not respond within a reasonable period, JewelPatakha may place the order on hold or cancel it.

Customers should ensure that the telephone number provided is correct and active.

11. Payment at COD Delivery

For a COD order, the customer must pay the entire amount shown in the order confirmation before or at the time the parcel is handed over, in accordance with the courier’s process.

The delivery agent may accept:

  • Cash;
  • UPI; or
  • Another payment mode supported by the courier partner.

JewelPatakha does not guarantee that every delivery agent will accept digital payment. Customers should be prepared to use the payment methods communicated by the courier.

Customers must not share:

  • UPI PINs;
  • OTPs;
  • Card PINs;
  • CVVs;
  • Banking passwords; or
  • Other confidential credentials

with JewelPatakha, its employees or courier personnel.

12. Tracking Information

After dispatch, tracking information will ordinarily be shared through one or more of the following:

  • Email;
  • SMS;
  • WhatsApp; or
  • The customer’s website account.

Tracking may take up to 24–48 hours after dispatch to begin displaying movement.

Customers are responsible for monitoring the tracking information and remaining available for delivery.

13. Courier Partners

JewelPatakha may engage reputable third-party courier companies, shipping aggregators or postal services based on:

  • Destination;
  • Serviceability;
  • Parcel value;
  • Delivery speed;
  • Shipment security; and
  • Operational availability.

JewelPatakha may select or change the courier partner without prior notice, provided this does not materially reduce the customer’s rights or agreed delivery service.

14. Delivery Address

The customer must provide a complete and accurate delivery address containing:

  • Recipient’s full name;
  • House, building or flat number;
  • Street and locality;
  • Landmark, where useful;
  • City and state;
  • Correct six-digit PIN code; and
  • Active telephone number.

JewelPatakha will not be responsible for delays or failed delivery caused by materially incorrect, incomplete or misleading information supplied by the customer.

15. Address Changes

A customer may request an address change before dispatch by contacting JewelPatakha immediately.

An address change is not guaranteed and may be declined where:

  • The order has already been packed or dispatched;
  • The replacement PIN code is not serviceable;
  • COD is unavailable at the new address;
  • Additional shipping charges apply; or
  • The courier does not permit address modification.

After dispatch, JewelPatakha may ask the customer to coordinate directly with the courier, but successful modification cannot be guaranteed.

A major address change may require cancellation and creation of a new order.

16. Customer Availability

The customer should ensure that:

  • The recipient is available at the delivery address;
  • The registered phone number remains active;
  • Courier calls and messages are answered;
  • Security personnel or reception staff are appropriately informed; and
  • The required COD amount is available.

The courier may be unable to deliver where the recipient cannot be contacted or access to the address is restricted.

17. Delivery Attempts

Courier partners generally make more than one delivery attempt, subject to their own operating procedures and local service conditions.

Where delivery is unsuccessful, customers should promptly respond to courier calls, tracking notifications or rescheduling messages.

JewelPatakha cannot guarantee a fixed number of attempts because this is determined by the courier and destination. However, JewelPatakha will make reasonable efforts to assist where the customer contacts us before the parcel is returned.

18. Refusal of Delivery

A customer should not refuse delivery merely because:

  • They changed their mind;
  • The jewellery is no longer required for an event;
  • They selected the wrong product;
  • They found another product elsewhere; or
  • They do not wish to pay the COD amount.

Refusing a valid COD order may result in:

  • Restriction of COD on future orders;
  • A requirement for prepaid payment;
  • Recovery of reasonable forward and return shipping costs before another order is accepted; or
  • Cancellation of pending COD orders associated with the customer.

This clause does not restrict a customer from refusing a visibly tampered or materially damaged parcel or exercising a legal right.

19. Return-to-Origin Shipments

A parcel may be returned to JewelPatakha as “Return to Origin” or “RTO” where:

  • The recipient refuses delivery;
  • The recipient is repeatedly unavailable;
  • The telephone number is incorrect or unreachable;
  • The address is incorrect or incomplete;
  • Access to the delivery location is unavailable;
  • The customer fails to collect the parcel;
  • COD payment is not made; or
  • Delivery is unsuccessful for another reason.

JewelPatakha will contact the customer after receiving or being notified of an RTO shipment.

20. Reshipping an RTO Order

Where an order is returned for reasons attributable to the customer, reshipping will be subject to:

  • Confirmation of the correct address;
  • Payment of applicable forward and RTO logistics charges;
  • Payment of the new shipping charge;
  • Product availability; and
  • Prepaid payment for the reshipment.

A COD order returned to origin will ordinarily be resent only as a prepaid order.

JewelPatakha will communicate the applicable reshipping amount before dispatch.

21. Refund of a Prepaid RTO Order

For a prepaid order returned because of an incorrect address, refusal, customer unavailability or another reason attributable to the customer, JewelPatakha may offer:

  • Reshipment after collection of applicable charges;
  • Store credit; or
  • A refund after deducting reasonable, documented forward and return logistics charges.

No deduction will be made where the order was returned solely because:

  • JewelPatakha provided incorrect dispatch information;
  • The courier lost the parcel;
  • The destination was incorrectly accepted as serviceable;
  • The product was damaged before delivery; or
  • The return arose from another fault attributable to JewelPatakha or its delivery arrangement.

Any deduction will remain subject to applicable consumer law.

22. Incorrect or Incomplete Address

Where an address error is identified before dispatch, JewelPatakha may request corrected information.

Where an address error is identified after dispatch:

  • Delivery may be delayed;
  • The courier may charge an address-correction fee;
  • Rerouting may be unavailable;
  • The parcel may return to origin; and
  • Reshipping charges may apply.

The customer is responsible for checking the order confirmation immediately and reporting errors without delay.

23. Orders Containing Multiple Products

Products from the same order may sometimes be shipped:

  • In one parcel;
  • In multiple parcels; or
  • On different dates.

This may occur because of:

  • Product availability;
  • Quality-check requirements;
  • Packaging safety;
  • Different processing timelines; or
  • Courier restrictions.

Where an order is split, the customer will not be charged an additional standard shipping fee unless separate shipping was specifically requested.

COD orders will normally be shipped together wherever operationally possible.

24. Delayed Shipments

A shipment may be delayed because of:

  • Peak wedding or festival demand;
  • Severe weather;
  • Floods, storms or natural disasters;
  • Transport disruption;
  • Public disturbances;
  • Strikes;
  • Government restrictions;
  • Security checks;
  • Courier capacity limitations;
  • Remote-area connectivity;
  • Incorrect customer information;
  • Technical interruptions; or
  • Other circumstances outside reasonable control.

JewelPatakha will make reasonable efforts to:

  1. Obtain a courier update;
  2. Raise an investigation where necessary;
  3. Inform the customer about a material delay; and
  4. Provide an appropriate resolution where the parcel cannot be delivered.

Indian ecommerce rules protect consumers where goods are delivered late from the stated delivery schedule, subject to the applicable force-majeure qualification. JewelPatakha will therefore assess delayed-delivery cancellation or refund requests in accordance with the circumstances and mandatory consumer rights.

25. Force Majeure

JewelPatakha will not be treated as responsible for a delivery delay to the extent it results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:

  • Natural disasters;
  • Flood, fire, earthquake or severe weather;
  • Epidemic or public-health restrictions;
  • War, terrorism or civil disturbance;
  • Government orders;
  • Transport shutdowns;
  • Strikes or industrial action;
  • Internet, electricity or system failures;
  • Courier network disruption; or
  • Similar extraordinary events.

JewelPatakha will nevertheless communicate known material delays and take reasonable steps to complete delivery or provide an appropriate lawful resolution.

26. Lost-in-Transit Shipments

A parcel may be considered lost only after the courier partner completes its investigation or confirms that the parcel cannot be located or delivered.

Where a prepaid parcel is confirmed lost in transit, JewelPatakha will offer, subject to product availability and applicable law:

  • A replacement at no additional cost; or
  • A full refund of the affected order.

Where a COD parcel is confirmed lost before delivery, the order may be replaced or cancelled without payment liability to the customer.

The customer will not be charged for a parcel confirmed lost before valid delivery.

27. Tracking Shows “Delivered,” but Parcel Not Received

Where tracking shows that an order has been delivered but the customer has not received it, the customer should contact JewelPatakha within 48 hours of the recorded delivery time.

The customer should first check with:

  • Family members;
  • Neighbours;
  • Security or reception staff;
  • Building management; and
  • Any person authorised to receive deliveries.

JewelPatakha may then raise an investigation with the courier and request:

  • Proof of delivery;
  • Delivery coordinates;
  • Delivery-agent confirmation;
  • Recipient details;
  • OTP or signature records; or
  • Other courier evidence.

Courier investigations may take approximately 5–10 business days, depending on the service provider.

JewelPatakha will provide the appropriate resolution after reviewing the evidence and circumstances.

28. Damaged or Tampered Parcel

Customers should inspect the outer parcel at delivery.

Where the package appears:

  • Opened;
  • Cut;
  • Resealed;
  • Crushed;
  • Wet;
  • Empty;
  • Severely damaged; or
  • Materially tampered with,

the customer should, where reasonably possible:

  1. Photograph or record the condition;
  2. Ask the delivery person to note the damage;
  3. Refuse the parcel where the tampering is serious; and
  4. Contact JewelPatakha immediately.

If the parcel is accepted, the customer should record an uninterrupted opening video before removing the jewellery.

Visible transit damage, missing items, tampered packaging or an incorrect product must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, consistent with JewelPatakha’s Return, Exchange and Refund Policy.

29. Safe Packaging

JewelPatakha normally uses protective packaging appropriate for fashion and occasion jewellery.

Packaging may include:

  • Jewellery box or pouch;
  • Protective wrapping;
  • Cushioning material;
  • Tamper-resistant external packaging; and
  • Courier shipping label.

The exact packaging may vary according to the product, parcel size, promotion or gifting option.

Decorative packaging shown in promotional photographs is included only when expressly stated on the product page or order confirmation.

30. Product Inspection Before Dispatch

Before dispatch, JewelPatakha may:

  • Verify the product and variation;
  • Inspect visible stone settings;
  • Check hooks, clasps and chains;
  • Confirm the components in a jewellery set;
  • Photograph or video-record the packed product;
  • Seal the jewellery in protective packaging; and
  • Record parcel weight.

These records may be used to investigate damage, missing-item or incorrect-product claims.

31. Express or Urgent Delivery

Express delivery is not automatically available for every product or PIN code.

Where a customer needs urgent delivery, they should contact JewelPatakha before placing the order.

Any express-shipping commitment will be valid only where:

  • JewelPatakha confirms availability in writing;
  • The required additional charge is paid;
  • The product is ready for dispatch; and
  • The destination is covered by an appropriate courier service.

Selecting or paying for express delivery does not eliminate delays caused by force majeure or circumstances outside reasonable control.

32. Order Modification After Dispatch

After dispatch, customers cannot ordinarily:

  • Add another product to the same parcel;
  • Replace the selected product;
  • Change the product variation;
  • Convert a prepaid order to COD;
  • Convert a COD order to prepaid through the courier; or
  • Change the invoice details.

A new order may need to be placed for additional products.

33. Risk of Loss

JewelPatakha remains responsible for taking reasonable care in packing and arranging shipment.

Risk of physical loss ordinarily transfers upon valid delivery to:

  • The customer;
  • The named recipient;
  • A family member;
  • Security or reception personnel;
  • An authorised representative; or
  • Another person accepting delivery at the supplied address.

This clause does not prevent a genuine claim concerning false delivery, concealed transit damage, deficiency in service or another right available under applicable law.

34. Customer Rights

The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 provides a statutory framework for the protection of consumer interests and remedies relating to defective goods, deficient services and unfair trade practices. This policy does not exclude or restrict any right that cannot lawfully be waived.

Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal right, the mandatory legal right will prevail.

35. Grievance Escalation

Questions or concerns regarding shipping may be sent to:

  • Full name;
  • Order number;
  • Tracking number;
  • Registered telephone number;
  • Description of the issue;
  • Photographs or videos, where relevant; and
  • The requested resolution.

A complaint reference number will be issued after registration.

36. Changes to This Policy

JewelPatakha may update this Shipping and Delivery Policy to reflect changes in:

  • Courier arrangements;
  • Shipping charges;
  • COD availability;
  • Delivery coverage;
  • Processing procedures; or
  • Applicable law.

The updated policy will be published with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Changes will not ordinarily reduce rights that have already arisen from an accepted order.
